I’m a bit confused about this mod. If I have the Steam version of Fallout: New Vegas but I don’t have Fallout 3, how should I install TTW? Do I need to buy Fallout 3, or can I use a pirated version of Fallout 3 and merge it with my Steam version? Is there any mod that can be installed in one click without me needing to download anything from Fallout 3?

Its in the literal install manual, you need a LEGAL copy of fallout 3, from a store, which means yes you need fallout 3, once TTW is installed you can safely delete fallout 3.
