i get a message when i try to recruit companions through numen saying i use the vanilla follower system and numen cant recruit the follower. i use jip CCC with unlimited companions turned on is this why? is there a way to patch this at all?

Numen is able to recruit anyone, not interfering with the vanilla companion system is a deliberate decision. This affects only recruiting and dismissing. Since you use CCC, you can force-recruit through it.
