How to use DynDOLOD with Enderal SE

  • Vanilla Enderal SE already has LOD generated by DynDOLOD with medium settings. Continue if you actually want to regenerate it.

  • When Enderal SE is installed as a mod, run both TexGen and DynDOLOD in the Skyrim Special Edition mode with the -sse parameter. Do not use Enderal SE mode, because it will try to read INI and registry records not used by the base mod.

  • Enderal SE overrides the list of BSA archives in Enderal - Forgotten Stories.ini. Due to a bug in xEdit Enderal archives are loaded only from Enderal.ini/Skyrim.ini. When Enderal is installed as a mod, DynDOLOD won't load assets properly, because it does not read Enderal - Forgotten Stories.ini. To fix this, copy the [Archive] section from Enderal - Forgotten Stories.ini into Skyrim.ini. When DynDOLOD starts, you should see it reading Enderal archives in the log. (A fix for this issue is already submitted by sheson.)

  • You should have DynDOLOD Resources installed with the High Hrothgar Window Glow option, otherwise DynDOLOD will fail to start at the time of writing (may be fixed in the future).

  • If TexGen fails with error "Error: Found stitched object LOD textures from earlier TexGen generation installed in game folder. It is recommended to uninstall all stitched object LOD textures generated earlier before generating new stitched object LOD textures.", press Ignore, this a reaction to the included LOD.
