I was annoyed by the skewed jumping trajectory in FNV especially noticeable while sprinting, and decided to fix it with several more features along the way.
Enabled by default:
Disabled by default due to being a matter of taste:
All parameters are configurable/toggleable in ImprovedJumping.ini.
Requires xNVSE.
Compatible with Enhanced Movement and Just Vanilla Sprint.
Enabled by default:
- The trajectory follows a proper parabola.
- Sprint enables longer and higher jumps.
- Jumping consumes AP, jumping while sprinting consumes more. Higher strength - lower AP cost.
- Increased vertical jumping speed (reduces floating feel).
- Height scales with running speed, agility, and strength (AGL/STR are enabled only in exteriors due to low ceilings in many locations).
Disabled by default due to being a matter of taste:
- Committed heading, configurable level of steering mid-air.
- Post-jump inertia (makes a step or two after landing, depending on speed).
- Weapon out distance penalty.
All parameters are configurable/toggleable in ImprovedJumping.ini.
